Today's Lesson: Hope

I just got back from a weekend in Las Vegas. Now what might you ask does this have to do with raising promotional points from MyCokeRewards in order to get prizes to donate to kids in need?

I'll tell you. The marvel that Las Vegas is should be enjoyed, or simply bespectacled, by everyone, including kids. The trillions of lights, the people, the overt glitz, even the fact that a city like Vegas exists in the middle of a desert should be experienced. Mainly because it lets you know that anything is possible. And that's something every kid should be able to tap into beyond a video game or a movie or whatever.

Sure, it seems like a weird correlation but it's true. Vegas is hope. Hope like one big amusement park ride where there is no red line you have to be taller than to get on and enjoy. Where smiling bigger than your mouth will go is the rule rather than the exception. Where screaming and putting your hands up is involuntary. It's a few square miles of hope against all odds (no pun intended). And the kids that we help out (via Nick's Kids Fund helping out with the prizes we give them) definitely need as much of that as we can give them.

Sooooo, if you've got codes from 12/24-packs &/or 20oz'ers of Coke products to donate, roll them in to HelpAKid and we'll help some kid open his/her eyes and see that anything is possible.

Thanks. And remember to keep smiling.
