Today's Lesson: Good Halloween Costume vs Great Halloween Costume

Every year people dress up like some thing or somebody else for Halloween, and I guess that's a way to play the gig. Me personally, I like costumes with some kind of tweak or twist to them. And while this baby pumpkin is cute as cute, the "The Colonel and his baby chicklet" costume has that tweak that makes me want to unload my entire candy corn collection on them like it's Mardi Gras and they're the only people watching.

And while some may cry "Baby Exploitation! Baby Exploitation!", you just have to imagine that kid in like 20 years looking back on what genius tweak Daddy came up with for a Halloween costume and hopefully then you go, "Ok. That IS pretty funny to think about."

And that's what our pagan "holiday" is really all about, at least after gorging yourself on free candy: memories. Just a few small lookbacks on life that you can smile at.

And that's where this Donate Your Coke Codes blog/project comes in. We're trying to give a few kids a chance to have something to look back on and smile. Like the time they got some cool gift from some completely random strangers just because.

Soooo, if you've got MyCokeRewards codes (from 12/24-packs &/or 20oz'ers of Coke products), send them in on the white cotton sheets of ghosts to HelpAKid. And hopefully we'll earn enough points to scare up some kinda cool prizes for some kids who need a few smiles.

Prizes ain't candy, but cavities don't make much of a gift anyway.

Thanks. And remember to keep smiling.
