Today's lesson: Resiliency.

This is the kid who you can see in the previous post learned the valuable, Mom-&-Dad-know-what-they're-talking-about" lesson after running with a fork in his hand and stuck it through his nose. But as you can see now, he's none the worse for the wear! Just a little more ventilated. So, yeah, resiliency.

*********Bad segue alert*********

In the spirit of resiliency, and in light of how hard it is to do good without lawyerly things screwing it up for major league organizations (like the great St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, who we had to severe ties with for a bunch of red tape reasons but we still have tons of love for their great deeds/work), I'm thinking of refocusing our efforts of collecting codes and redeeming prizes for an organization run by my Alma Mater's coach and his wife called Nick's Kids Fund.

Seems like a stand-up organization. My team's coach is involved. It really IS all about the kids, and maybe, just maybe it'll help the team with a winning 1st season under the new coach. ha ha. just kidding. Seriously, it seems like a great group with a great cause.

I'm waiting to hear back from them, as well as two other organizations I've contacted, but in the mean time, if you have a suggestion, fire it in, along with any codes for the New & Improved Donate Your Coke Codes project to HelpAKid and we'll figure out which organization would appreciate the prizes we redeem with the Coke codes/points.

Thanks. And remember to keep smiling.
