Once again, this blog/project has to be put on temporary hold.
Once again, someone called St. Jude headquarters complaining/questioning/etc the legitimacy of this blog and it's intentions, without contacting the author of the blog, ME, because of one of my posts. I believe it was the one from weeks ago about the puppy born with the shape of a heart in his fur. It was a cute puppy meant to entertain the kind people who donate codes. Nothing more. If the post offended anyone in any weird way, or portrayed St. Jude in a bad light, I apologize sincerely.
Once again, I'll say that I have never professed any legal connection with St. Jude but rather a simple desire to help them in their efforts to help kids with serious afflictions. That's all.
I drink a lot of Diet Coke. Coke started this promotion. I thought it would be a cool thing to do with all the caps/codes to redeem prizes and donate them to St. Jude. Sue me. But you'll have to wait until I stop feeling so danged depressed first.
To whoever the people who have contacted St. Jude are, I'll stop this project until I can prove to you that I am serious and legitimately doing this for the kids, if you'll stop calling them.

What would kids want? Hmm. If you were having to sit in a hospital bed being fed food, drugs, dialysis of any kind, I think you'd appreciate pretty much anything. You with me?
For now, a DVD player, a couple of game sets are all we've redeemed but we're about to clean house with 6000 points worth of stuff. Just waiting to hear what kind of things these specific kids could use.
