Brandon McKnight

Brandon McKnight

Brandon McKnight was diagnosed at the age of 5 with a cranial pharyngioma which presented itself as a tumor on his left optic nerve. Brandon's tumor was in-operable due to its size, location and possible serious complications. He has had 11 surgeries and several out-patient procedures to help drain fluid from his brain and prevent his headaches.

Brandon currently works part time as a fulfillment clerk in one of the regional offices for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Chicago, and speaks frequently to various donors and volunteer groups about his St. Jude experience. Brandon says that he is so grateful for what St. Jude has done for him that he wants to spend much of his time giving back.

I just finished reading the rules of the my coke rewards and it states that enrolees may not sell, donate or combine their coke rewards so I don't understand how you are doing this... Furthermore, a portable DVD player would be cheaper to buy than what coke is charging for it. Do the math - it's a ridiculous price!!

Dear Brandon,

I am so sorry to hear about your brain tumor. I was diagnosed with a cranial pharyngioma at the age of thirteen.

Fortunately after two surgeries I had it entirely removed. Interestingly enough the cords for my left eye went over the tumor, thus it took a while for it to readjust itself.

I am now forty four years old and doing quite well - on quite a few medications, but that's a small price to pay.

GOD bless you my friend, and remember - keep the faith!
