Here's a freaky thought (& movie): Lose your memory at 30 & relearn everything with a kid's appreciation. I'd give alot for that.

If you get the chance, check out the movie. It's weird but enlighteningly optimistic. I guess. I don't think we need a tragedy to reperspect like Doug does involuntarily in the movie. Just a really strong desire to feel kid-like. So positive thinking, basically. That sounds too simple but hey, give it whirl. Why not?
